Welding Fabrics
Several high temperature fabrics that have been FM Approved are now available. These fabrics are used in the welding industry as blankets, curtains and pads. In order to obtain FM Approval, these fabrics must pass a series of rigorous tests over several months. These tests simulate real working environments and situations and are therefore able to meet the safety standards now being required by companies. With our facility here in Grande Prairie, we can cut and fabricate any pattern to cover or shield equipment from any sparks or molten metal slag that may occur during welding, cutting or grinding. This ensures full protection and reduces the risk of any possible fire hazards.
Welding Pads
Heat resistant fabric designed to be placed directly under a hot work operation such as welding or cutting. Intended for use in horizontal applications with severe exposures such as that resulting from molten substances or heavy horizontal welding.
Welding Blankets
Heat resistant fabric designed to be placed in the vicinity of a hot work operation. Intended for use in horizontal applications with light to moderate exposures, such as that resulting from chipping, grinding, heat treating, sand blasting and light horizontal welding.
Welding Curtains
Heat resistant fabric designed to be placed directly under a hot work operation. Intended for use in vertical applications with light to moderate exposures, such as that resulting from chipping, grinding, heat treating, sand blasting and light horizontal welding.
